Yesterday an apprentice - today manager Projects & Processes at bta first travel

Travelling has always been a passion of mine. So it was clear to me that I wanted to work in tourism.

Apprenticeship
My apprenticeship as a commercial clerk EFZ at bta first travel lasted three years and was very varied. In addition to daily customer contact in various languages, hotel, train, rental car, visa and flight bookings, etc., I also enjoyed many e-learnings, airport tours and study trips where I could combine my newly acquired knowledge and get to know destinations, hotels and airlines better.

Trainer
After successfully completing my apprenticeship, I was given the opportunity to train apprentices. I really enjoyed passing on my knowledge to the students.

System courses & project work
I was also able to conduct system courses for Hotelplan Suisse and work on smaller projects, which made the daily routine even more interesting.
I always found it very valuable that I was able to contribute and take on more responsibility and that my ideas were also implemented.

Stay abroad
The flexibility of bta first travel also enabled me to complete a three-month trip to Australia, including a one-month language stay.

Deputy branch manager
Soon after, I was promoted to deputy branch manager, which further increased my scope of duties.

Further education
I was then able to complete my further training as a tourism specialist HF while working, which was co-financed by my employer.

Now I can apply my knowledge in my new position as Manager Projects & Processes on a daily basis.
